Just for the ones who don't yet realise how horrible the USA's conservatives are, and how bad rape culture is.
This is what could happen if they pass all the horrible bills which are currently laying on the tables.
Imagine this.
You're a fourteen year old girl. You just got raped by your stepfather. Your mother doesn't believe you and your friends say you asked for it. After a while, you find out that you're pregnant. You don't want to have the child which would remember you of that horrible day again and again, so you go to an abortion clinic. They force you to undergo an ultrasound and as you're not pregnant that long yet, a transvaginal one as well. You're forced to listen to the foetus' heartbeat and to hear the doctor describe the not-yet-a-child in detail. They try to push you into keeping it. Then they tell you that you need the foetus' father's signature that you're allowed to have an abortion. As horrible as it feels, you want to do everything to get rid of the living memory of the rape. So you ask your stepdad. He says he didn't make you pregnant, he claims you're such a slut you probably don't even know whose baby it'd be. So you can't have the abortion. You don't see any other solution than to continue carrying your rapist's child. After about five months, the doctor tells you that there is something wrong. That the child has a chance of dying, and even if it is born alive, it will suffer for the rest of its life. You don't wish to bring someone into this world just to give him an infinity of pain, so you try once again to get an abortion, hoping that these changed circumstances will make a difference, especially as the child is also a threat to your own health. Unfortunately, after twenty weeks, abortions aren't allowed anymore, period. The foetus becomes more and more problematic, and one day, it dies. You feel sad for the loss of a living creature, yet in a way relieved as well to have saved the child and yourself all the suffering. You learn that a foetus that old has to be removed from your body when it dies because it won't get out otherwise, so you go to an abortion clinic once again, only to hear that you're now supposed to carry the dead child to term "because cows and pigs do". You're becoming desperate now, as you obviously don't want a dead body inside you for the next couple of months because, one, it's just weird, and, two, it poses a serious risk to your own health. It will most likely poison you, and you're not sure you'd survive. But as you don't see any other solution, you bear the dead baby for another three months, until you can finally get a caesarean. The doctors find out that your child is a stillborn, and because of some awesome new law, they can now sue you for murder. Because you were raped, so it is likely that you tried to kill the unwanted child, yes? Because you probably drunk too much while you were pregnant to forget about the rape, right? Even if those things aren't true, they won't believe you anyway. Because who believes women? All they know you weren't even raped, but you were just inventing an excuse to get an abortion, and when it didn't work you tried to kill it yourself and a fertilized egg is a person so you're a murderer! You end up in some juvenile detention centre, without anyone caring about you, no friends, no family, and even in the centre everyone hates you because you murdered your child...

To all victim-blaming fucktards.
I swear, if I ever hear a victim being blamed again for what happened to her/him, I'll force the blaming asshole to read http://projectunbreakable.tumblr.com/, http://swnorfolk.tumblr.com/, http://survivorstories.tumblr.com/ and all the other blogs like this up to the very last page, and then I dare them to say that those poor people deserved it again...

Stupid conservative americans...
So, this is my first post on here. I made this blog because I realised there are happening so many things in this world I want to give my opinion on and I just can't ignore the urge to write about them anymore.
This blog will probably include a lot of political stuff (as that is what bothers me most at the moment), so everyone who doesn't feel like reading about that, feel free to leave at any time. This also goes for everyone who hates people with an opinion - yes, there are a lot of idiots out there. Everyone who dislikes me already can either get used to it or leave.
Now, enough of that. I may be angry at the world, but I'm not at you guys. I just wanted to make sure there will be no misunderstandings, or people feeling insulted, and so on. I want to be able to express myself freely in this blog and if that means scaring off a few, so be it then.
But all of this doesn't really matter. It's not what this blog is about, but I guess you all knew that already. What I do wish to talk about today, are annoying republicans. Or in general, people who don't see the problem in inequality and do whatever they can to make it grow. Womenhaters, racists, and so on.
I don't know whether you guys have noticed it yet, but there's something weird going on in the US. Something which scares and angers me. Something which would kinda make me want to kill everyone trying to fuck this world even further up - and I'm against violence.
It's about the people who are currently trying to take away all individual freedom - even though their party's general opinion is supposed to be something like "let everyone do what he wants and make as less rules as possible". You probably all heard about the "stop piracy"-laws. Whatever happened to freedom and privacy?
But at the moment, that isn't even what bothers me most. What really enrages me, is their "war on women". They're pretty much trying to take away every single right women once fought for. Right now, there are several states where a woman, trying to get an abortion, will be forced to undergo a painful, traumatic and medically completely unnecessary experience: trans-vaginal ultrasound. In the video on http://current.com/community/93677814_when-the-state-is-the-criminal.htm, you can see an image of what that means. It means inserting a big instrument in a woman's vagina, possibly against her will. I don't care what those crazy republicans call it, but I call that rape.
Another thing about rape and women's rights. There are several states which have already passed a so-called "personhood bill". Those bills pretty much come down to the following: "starting from conception, an egg is not just a couple of cells, it is a person. That's why from now on abortion will be illegal, no matter the circumstance, and there's a big chance we'll also take away your right for contraception. After all, we can't let women decide about their own bodies now can we?". No matter the circumstance, I said. Now that's an important one. There must be some exceptions, I can hear you think. What about victims of rape? What about pregnancies which threaten the life of the mother? What about victims of incest? The answer is, they're all doomed to carry the child for a horrible nine months - would you want to be reminded of something like rape constantly; or live in fear about your own health? The republicans think that not making adoption illegal makes all the rest okay: if, for whatever reason, a woman doesn't want to keep the child, she can always give it away... Yeah, sure, like that's that easy. Whether the child was wanted at first or not, if you carry it in you for 9 months you eventually start loving it anyway, I think. Maybe some of you now think something like "well, that's good then isn't it? Problem solved!". It is a little bit more complicated than that. Anyway, the choice should be the parents' choice, not the government's.
I cannot express how happy I am that I don't live in the horrible States. Yet I can't just be happy with that and close my eyes for the suffering of others. For those of you who still don't see what's so horrible about those laws, just imagine this one.
You're a twelve year old girl. You have just been raped. You're carrying the child of your rapist, while you're still a little girl yourself. You want to have an abortion, because having to look at your kid and having to think about your rapist every time you see your son/daughter would be too much to bear after all the horror of being raped you are going through constantly in your memories. You go to a hospital. There they either rape you again, or just don't want to abort the few cells in your stomach. You may die because of this yourself, because you're only twelve years old and your body most likely isn't anywhere near being ready for a pregnancy. Not to mention your mental health... Well, there may still be a chance to get that abortion. If you get the rapist's permission that is. Because apparently the father's right to have a say in the discussion of getting an abortion is extended to rapists as well. Because apparently, the father is more important than the mother. Would you like to go and search for your rapist to ask him whether it is okay to abort his child? I don't think so actually. Well, then there's still the possibility of getting the abortion done illegally I guess... Somewhere in an ally by someone with no medical knowledge... But maybe you should consider your own health first, in that case. After all, your goal is to abort your child, not to end your own life, right? But thanks to those *awesome* new laws, it is likely that the first won't be possible anymore without the second. And because they're trying to remove abortion and anticonception from any insurance, you'll also have to pay everything yourself (if you can even get it, of course). Weird thing that viagra and stuff like that ARE covered by pretty much every insurance isn't it? Because, yeah, sure, being able to have sex as a man is waaaaay more important than being able to decide over your own body as a woman, right?
