Stupid conservative americans...

So, this is my first post on here. I made this blog because I realised there are happening so many things in this world I want to give my opinion on and I just can't ignore the urge to write about them anymore.
This blog will probably include a lot of political stuff (as that is what bothers me most at the moment), so everyone who doesn't feel like reading about that, feel free to leave at any time. This also goes for everyone who hates people with an opinion - yes, there are a lot of idiots out there. Everyone who dislikes me already can either get used to it or leave.

Now, enough of that. I may be angry at the world, but I'm not at you guys. I just wanted to make sure there will be no misunderstandings, or people feeling insulted, and so on. I want to be able to express myself freely in this blog and if that means scaring off a few, so be it then.

But all of this doesn't really matter. It's not what this blog is about, but I guess you all knew that already. What I do wish to talk about today, are annoying republicans. Or in general, people who don't see the problem in inequality and do whatever they can to make it grow. Womenhaters, racists, and so on.

I don't know whether you guys have noticed it yet, but there's something weird going on in the US. Something which scares and angers me. Something which would kinda make me want to kill everyone trying to fuck this world even further up - and I'm against violence.

It's about the people who are currently trying to take away all individual freedom - even though their party's general opinion is supposed to be something like "let everyone do what he wants and make as less rules as possible". You probably all heard about the "stop piracy"-laws. Whatever happened to freedom and privacy?
But at the moment, that isn't even what bothers me most. What really enrages me, is their "war on women". They're pretty much trying to take away every single right women once fought for. Right now, there are several states where a woman, trying to get an abortion, will be forced to undergo a painful, traumatic and medically completely unnecessary experience: trans-vaginal ultrasound. In the video on http://current.com/community/93677814_when-the-state-is-the-criminal.htm, you can see an image of what that means. It means inserting a big instrument in a woman's vagina, possibly against her will. I don't care what those crazy republicans call it, but I call that rape.

Another thing about rape and women's rights. There are several states which have already passed a so-called "personhood bill". Those bills pretty much come down to the following: "starting from conception, an egg is not just a couple of cells, it is a person. That's why from now on abortion will be illegal, no matter the circumstance, and there's a big chance we'll also take away your right for contraception. After all, we can't let women decide about their own bodies now can we?". No matter the circumstance, I said. Now that's an important one. There must be some exceptions, I can hear you think. What about victims of rape? What about pregnancies which threaten the life of the mother? What about victims of incest? The answer is, they're all doomed to carry the child for a horrible nine months - would you want to be reminded of something like rape constantly; or live in fear about your own health? The republicans think that not making adoption illegal makes all the rest okay: if, for whatever reason, a woman doesn't want to keep the child, she can always give it away... Yeah, sure, like that's that easy. Whether the child was wanted at first or not, if you carry it in you for 9 months you eventually start loving it anyway, I think. Maybe some of you now think something like "well, that's good then isn't it? Problem solved!". It is a little bit more complicated than that. Anyway, the choice should be the parents' choice, not the government's.

I cannot express how happy I am that I don't live in the horrible States. Yet I can't just be happy with that and close my eyes for the suffering of others. For those of you who still don't see what's so horrible about those laws, just imagine this one.

You're a twelve year old girl. You have just been raped. You're carrying the child of your rapist, while you're still a little girl yourself. You want to have an abortion, because having to look at your kid and having to think about your rapist every time you see your son/daughter would be too much to bear after all the horror of being raped you are going through constantly in your memories. You go to a hospital. There they either rape you again, or just don't want to abort the few cells in your stomach. You may die because of this yourself, because you're only twelve years old and your body most likely isn't anywhere near being ready for a pregnancy. Not to mention your mental health... Well, there may still be a chance to get that abortion. If you get the rapist's permission that is. Because apparently the father's right to have a say in the discussion of getting an abortion is extended to rapists as well. Because apparently, the father is more important than the mother. Would you like to go and search for your rapist to ask him whether it is okay to abort his child? I don't think so actually. Well, then there's still the possibility of getting the abortion done illegally I guess... Somewhere in an ally by someone with no medical knowledge... But maybe you should consider your own health first, in that case. After all, your goal is to abort your child, not to end your own life, right? But thanks to those *awesome* new laws, it is likely that the first won't be possible anymore without the second. And because they're trying to remove abortion and anticonception from any insurance, you'll also have to pay everything yourself (if you can even get it, of course). Weird thing that viagra and stuff like that ARE covered by pretty much every insurance isn't it? Because, yeah, sure, being able to have sex as a man is waaaaay more important than being able to decide over your own body as a woman, right?
